Having a new puppy in the family is a really exciting time, especially when they’re exploring their new environment, making friends and getting up to mischief. But it’s also important to use their early weeks and months as an opportunity to get them well-socialised and into good habits, to prevent problems in later life.
At Penrose Veterinary Group, we offer fortnightly ‘puppy parties’ to give your new companion a chance to play, explore and learn in a safe environment. All puppies younger than 16 weeks of age are welcome to attend – providing they have been vaccinated – and you only need to come on a one-off session rather than a course of classes.
Your puppy will have plenty of time to run around and make friends with the other dogs, and will also learn some basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘stay.’
Our puppy parties are run on our behalf by professional international dog trainers Boxted K9, who have over 30 years’ experience training all breeds of dog. The team will cover a variety of important topics in each session, including tips and information about feeding, grooming, house training, dog laws and much more.
You will also be able to ask any questions you have when it comes to raising your puppy, or discuss any concerns you might have about their behaviour.
These classes are free to clients whose puppies have had their vaccines carried out at Penrose Veterinary Group. For directions to the location of our puppy parties at Boxted, please click here!
